The Spanish Waterdog is a breed that is in the Netherlands
since 1996. The first dogs have been imported from Spain in 1996.
The development of the population according to the Dutch studbook is given in the

At this
moment there are 843 Perros de Agua Español in the Netherlands registered
(*puppies and imported dogs).
Now, 66 dogs are longer then 10 years registered in the stud book. So these dogs
are not taken in account anymore.
So now, there are 777 Perros registered in the Dutch stud book officially.
At this moment, there are 106 imported Perros de Aguas Español which are
registered in the Netherlands (13 are older then 10 years).
